Privacy Policy

This notice explains the data practices of dailyeditpicks.com as currently configured. Last updated: 18 October 2026.

Who is responsible

The website is operated by The Daily Edit in United States, under The Daily Edit name. Contact hello@dailyeditpicks.com for privacy questions and requests.

Technical information when you visit

Delivering and protecting the website involves processing technical information such as IP address, requested page or file, time of request, browser information, and potentially referrer information. Hosting, network, and security providers may process this information in operational or security logs. We use Hostinger for hosting and Cloudflare for DNS. DNS service does not mean that every website request is proxied through Cloudflare.

Information you send by email

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or other details you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, investigate corrections or rights issues, and keep necessary records. Please share only information relevant to your request.

Search, filters, and sharing

Guide search and category filtering run in your browser. The search field does not send its text to a site search service. Category selections can appear in the page URL and therefore in normal requests or shared links. The copy-link feature uses the browser clipboard when you activate it; it does not upload your clipboard contents to us.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The current website code does not set analytics or advertising cookies, use browser storage for tracking, or include Google Analytics, AdSense, advertising pixels, or newsletter signup forms. Infrastructure providers may process technical data needed to deliver or secure their services. We do not use this website to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we add optional tracking or advertising, we will update this notice and implement consent choices where required before enabling those features.

External fonts, images, and links

Pages request fonts from Google Fonts, and the homepage hero image is loaded from Unsplash. These requests disclose network information, including IP address and browser details, to the relevant provider; referrer information depends on browser and provider settings. Article cover photos and decision maps are served from our own domain. Links to source documents, photo credits, and other websites take you to services governed by their own notices. See Google's privacy policy, Unsplash's privacy policy, Hostinger's privacy policy, and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Why information is processed and who receives it

Information is processed to deliver and secure the site, respond to inquiries, handle rights and correction requests, and meet applicable legal obligations. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity, including legitimate interests in operating a secure informational website, responding to your request, legal obligations, or consent where required. Service providers receive information necessary for their role. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect rights; we do not publish private correspondence without permission.

Retention and international processing

We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the inquiry, maintain relevant editorial or rights records, or meet legal obligations. Operational log retention depends on provider settings and service requirements; we do not promise a fixed deletion period for provider-controlled logs. Providers and email services may process information in countries other than yours. Applicable transfer safeguards depend on the service and the legal requirements that apply.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, obtain a copy of certain data, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact us to make a request. Rights can have conditions and exceptions, and we may need to verify the request proportionately. You may also have a right to complain to your local data protection authority. Browser settings can restrict third-party resources, although this may change the site's appearance.

Children and security

The guides address adult purchasers, including adults buying family products. The site does not offer child accounts or knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review it. We use HTTPS and reasonable measures to protect information, but no network or email system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our practices materially change and revise the date shown above. Contact The Daily Edit if you need clarification.
